Welcome

Hey fellow travelers, we are Road Tripping PT. Two traveling physical therapists who have been on the move since 2017.

We created Road Tripping PT as a way to share information that we wish we knew when starting our travel journey.  There have been many ups and downs over the last 5 years, but we have learned a lot along the way. For those of you just starting out, or even a few years in, hopefully some of our posts will provide you with a guide to travel therapy and answer questions that many of us have.

The 10 minute detour we almost decided against. SO happy we changed our mind. It was raining the morning we planned to head to the gorge and almost decided to head home vs deal with the weather. We didn’t know if we’d have another chance
It was worth the long drive after work and the 4.5 hours of sleep 🚂 🍁 We may have missed peak in Blue Ridge, Georgia but we had the best fall day with a train ride through the remaining foliage. The train took us to two small little border towns;
🎃 👻 Happy Halloween 👻 🎃 Our “Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!” Throwback! Sitting on our porch handing out all the candy this year. The first time we’ve had this many trick-or- treaters and we’re loving it. Even Spence

us

As new grad physical therapists, we were excited about our career and the stability that was provided in the healthcare field. 9-5 was always the plan and despite travel companies trying to recruit us at conferences and school business functions, we knew it was too good to be true. Well, after our first year of working full time, in debt from student loans, and wanting more adventure in our lives, we began to look into the mystery that was travel therapy. Within 6 months of planning, we found ourselves driving to Soldotna AK from Central CA for our first assignment. Unclear about what this career path would hold, an expectation to only take this one assignment, and having no mentorship, we took a leap of faith and haven’t looked back since. Now, we have been traveling since 2017, worked 12 different assignments in 8 different states, and continue to search for our next adventure. Sound interesting?
